2009 News Update

Great news! The new Conference Center is definitely working, and the 2008 conference was a great success.

Our dates for 2009 will be August 2nd through August 7th. This includes the Sunday Third Step Meeting, badge and program pick-up, and the Crested Butte Group meeting Sunday evening. The weather is super, and the town is less crowded with other tourists and vacationers. This is a real plus for our group of shoppers and diners.

Even more important, the Arts Fair weekend is August 1st and 2nd, so those who love this Fair can plan to arrive early enough to enjoy browsing and admiring. If you're not familiar with this Fair, this is a juried Fair held each year in Crested Butte the first full weekend of August. Elk Avenue is closed to traffic and lined with booths of selected artists and craftsmen of all kinds. Food is available, and you can spend two days wandering up and down admiring and purchasing unique and interesting works.

You should be aware that our negotiated special lodging rates with CBMR are not available until August 2nd, so if you should want to arrive early for the Fair, the published rates will apply to your lodging prior to August 2nd.

Seating in the new Conference Center is limited to 540, so plan to register early to assure your chance to enjoy the use of this facility after enduring the years of construction and uncertainty.
