Arts FestivalOn the weekend following the closing of the conference (Saturday, August 4th and Sunday, August 5th), Crested Butte holds their annual Arts Festival. Elk Avenue is closed to traffic and booths are set up lining both sides of the street. There is a jury to select exhibitors, and since the competition to exhibit in this Festival is stiff, the artists and craftsmen who are selected are among the finest anywhere. The Festival is ranked in the top 100 by Art Fair SourceBook. If you have never had the opportunity to visit this festival, plan to arrive early enough to check it out. You will not be disappointed.
