A Historic Mountain Village

Crested Butte, founded in 1880 and now a National Historic District, is a quiet, old mining town nestled at 9,000 feet in the heart of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. Surrounded by the Gunnison National Forest, Crested Butte’s lamplit streets, western Victorian architecture, quaint shops and galleries, gourmet restaurants, handmade craft shops, local art and theater all combine to create an ambiance unique to this historic town.

A short drive up the mountain, away from the town, is the resort community of Mt. Crested Butte: the site of the Crested Mountain Village, the Grand Lodge at Crested Butte Hotel, and our Conference meetings. Mt. Crested Butte’s newer homes, lodges, condominiums and amenities swimming, tennis, restaurants, shops are just at the base of the Crested Butte ski area.
